but it’s progress. Can’t you be happy that it’s progress? I know that there are plenty of trans actors who could’ve also played that role but until the mainstream media begins to accept trans people into the umbrella term “normal” then compromises will be made to get where we want to be.

we definitely still need to make sure people know there’s a demand for trans actors and writers but HOLY SHIT do you know how important it is that people are even attempting to make stories about trans people?? even if its cis people playing them right now doesn’t mean that’s going to be the norm as long as we show there’s a demand instead of boycotting something outright

im excited because do you know how many young boys are going to see stuff like this and realize its okay to be who they are? that there’s a name to what they feel? people are learning with stuff like this, its not perfect but its definitely a compromise please do not push this off the table and throw a tantrum just because its not perfect
